Why This Halloween Will Be One to Remember

At King’s Creek Plantation, we’ve put a lot of thought into the reasons why Halloween is the best holiday, but we think it can be summed up in three simple explanations.

  1. It’s got a free spirit. Unlike New Year’s and Valentine’s Day, Halloween isn’t wrought with expectation. Everyone is too focused on the costumes and the candy. Didn’t clean your house? No one’s coming inside! Don’t have a date? Don’t need one! Haven’t reached a single one of your life goals? No one’s asking!

  2. There are no presents. This may initially seem like a bummer, but once you realize that you won’t be spending time and money on people with whom you have a hazy friendship status, you realize it’s a blessing. Save your money for a Halloween costume and king-sized candy bars instead.

  3. The spookiness. One word (okay, one three-word hyphenate): Howl-o-Scream.

Busch Gardens’ Howl-o-Scream 2018 promises spookiness of epic proportions. But it also promises balance (not everyone enjoys the adrenaline rush of a good startle, after all).

DAYTIME FUN

Busch Gardens goes all out for innocence, too! During the day, bring the family by to enjoy a Sesame Street Halloween on Saturdays and Sundays throughout October. Kids under 9 are welcome to come dressed up to the Count’s Spooktacular and parade along side their favorite Sesame Street characters, explore a family-friendly hay maze, do some actual trick-or-treating, and enjoy interactive shows!

To sidestep the “scare squad,” be sure to exit the park by 5:30 p.m.!

NIGHT TERRORS

This year, Busch Gardens celebrates 20 years of fear with Howl-O-Scream! Six themed scare zones (known as terror-tories—cute, huh?) throughout the park come to life at 6 o’clock sharp. Each one takes over its own village, and as you pass through, be prepared to jump like a scorched cat when ghouls and goblins emerge from the shadows. If that’s not enough for you, try one of the seven haunted houses. Three brand-new houses include Demented DimensionsVault XX and Dystopia. Back to scare you again are Cornered,
LumberhackFrostbite, and Circo Sinistro!

There are also amazing live Halloween-themed shows (remember, no little ones allowed!) and heart-pounding escape room experiences. And no corner of the park is safe during Howl-O-Scream hours—not even the lines for the greatest thrill rides in the country!

King’s Creek Plantation welcomes you to stay with us this month to give your family THE coolest, most memorable, most happy Halloween they’ve ever seen

Here’s to the best holiday!
