Three Ways to do Valentine’s Day in Williamsburg

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and in the spirit of celebrating love in all its forms, we thought we’d give you some ideas for a day of romance in the ‘Burg!

Wine & Dine

Williamsburg Winery is the perfect venue for celebrating admiration, infatuation or friendship on Valentine’s Day. The best part about this choice is that you can enjoy it during the day if you choose, so tour a barrel cellar, sip on award-winning wines or snag a yummy lunch under a canopy of wisteria as you gaze into your favorite person’s eyes. If you do want the option to dress up for a traditional fancy Valentine’s dinner, reserve your spot to experience Café Provençal’s Valentine’s Day menu.

Dinner & a Movie

So simple and yet so compatible, movies and snacks have been going strong as a couple for decades. Thankfully, Williamsburg is home to the Movie Tavern, an in-theater dining service experience featuring chef-driven menus, premium quality food and drink and luxurious seating for a transformational movie going experience. Take your honey to see the latest hit movie – there are plenty of choices to suit every taste!

Horse Drawn Carriage & Homemade Dinner

If you really want points for planning out a thoughtful Valentine’s Day, try taking a romantic horse drawn carriage through Colonial Williamsburg. You can even stop at one of Merchants Square’s shops and pick up a gift for any budget, from candy to fine jewelry. Most months, you can pick up fresh produce and other goodies at the outdoor farmers market, but a great substitute in wintertime is the Fresh Market. Pick out a recipe ahead of time (they give you great ideas!), and pick out a nice bottle of wine together to go with your ingredients. Take it back to your kitchen at the Cottages, Townes or Estates, start the fireplace and have a romantic evening at home!

At King’s Creek Plantation, we’re all about showing love and appreciation! No matter how you decide to celebrate, we wish you and yours a very happy Valentine’s Day!
