Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade

Saturday, December 2

6-8 p.m.

Riverwalk Landing Piers

Admission: Free
Sure, you’ve probably seen dozens of parades before…but have you ever been to a boat parade? Come to the Yorktown waterfront to witness a spectacular community tradition of holiday spirit! Watch local sail, pleasure and workboats glide by adorned in festive lights to compete for “Best in Show”—a sight not to be missed! Enjoy complimentary hot cider, live performances by the Fifes and Drums of Yorktown and the Yorktown Chorale, and gather ‘round a dazzling beach bonfire with friends and family for Christmas carols!

Dean Shostak’s Crystal Carols Concert

Saturday, December 2

Williamsburg Library Theatre
Admission: $10 online, $12 at the door

We know this one is a bit late in the evening, but if you have any budding musicians in your family, you can’t miss this unique concert! This popular holiday show will be performed by musician Dean Shostak, who will be playing on a glass violin! You will also hear the gorgeous tinkle of crystal bells and the sounds of Benjamin Franklin’s invention, the glass armonica (listen to one here)!  

Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert

December 2 & 3

Is there anything that gets you in the Christmas mood faster than holiday music? Nothing is more stirring to the soul than the live music of a symphony orchestra! Come revel in the moving sounds of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra this weekend for its annual Holiday Pops Concert during the Grand Illumination!

Cookies with Santa

Sunday, December 3

York Hall

1-4 p.m.

Admission: Free
Perfect for children and adults, this free Yorktown event accomplishes two things at once: Kids can visit with Santa to make sure he knows what’s on their Christmas wish lists, and parents can shop for holiday gifts in the Gallery at York Hall! Enjoy tasty treats while you explore unique gifts made by more than 300 local artists.

Colonial Williamsburg Grand Illumination

Sunday, December 3

4-7:30 p.m.

Admission: Regular Colonial Williamsburg admission 
One of Williamsburg’s most highly anticipated holiday events, this special day is marked by gorgeous Christmas decorations all over Colonial Williamsburg, holiday musical performances from multiple stages, and a tremendous fireworks display! View fireworks from the Capitol, the Magazine and the Palace as you sip hot cocoa with the ones you care for most. We can’t think of anything better than spending this magical holiday tradition with loved ones!
