Make this Christmas Merry and Bright

One of our favorite parts of the holiday is being surrounded by beautiful, twinkling lights. Here at King’s Creek, we simply don’t believe it would feel like Christmas without a town that sparkles and shines! For that reason, we want to make sure we help make this Christmas merry and bright!

Holiday decor is something we’ve come to know and love. When we see furnishings like wreaths, garlands, ornaments, ribbons, poinsettias and so much more, we are reminded of the warmth and love we’ve felt in every winter season that has come to pass. When you visit Williamsburg, there are so many destinations that will brighten your spirit and bring more joy to your world

Christmas Town
If you love the warm glow of Christmas lights as much as we do, then Christmas Town at Busch Gardens is the PERFECT place for you to visit this year. From now through January 5th, the world’s most beautiful amusement park will feature over 10 million lights, creating phenomenal, sparkling nights throughout the season.

Start your night with the golden glow of Big Ben, soar over the shimmers and gleams on the Finnegan’s Flyer swing, and ride aboard the Christmas Town Express to guide your tour though the largest Christmas lights display in North America. Checkout this handy guide for the must-see spots located throughout the park and prepare to be dazzled!

The Grand Illumination

The Grand Illumination shows are sure to captivate and excite visitors, as fireworks light up the sky! Travel downtown and enjoy musical performances from 4 – 7 PM, and the firework display afterwards. This will take place at three locations, including the Capitol, the Magazine and the Governor’s Palace

Christmas Tree Lighting at Yorktown

You can also visit Yorktown Riverwalk Landing for the annual Christmas tree lighting, which has been a tradition since 1945! Start at the Yorktown Victory Monument at 7 PM on Main Street for a Fifes and Drums performance, followed by the Yorktown Crier’s procession from the Monument through the historic village and down to the Riverwalk Landing!

Yankee Candle Village

The smell of Christmas is in the air from the year’s beginning to end at Yankee Candle Village. However, December takes the meaning of Christmas to a whole new level! Explore the Holiday Park, which is home to over 40,000 ornaments, and saunter through the amazing collection of candles and other accessories. PLUS, don’t miss the Christmas tree lighting on December 7th!

Williamsburg Community Christmas Tree

Market Square is another perfect place to take in amazing Christmas decor! Travel downtown to listen to classic carols and a reading of A Visit from St. Nicholas, and learn the history of the first Christmas tree in the US. Join in on the fun on December 19th at 5 PM as they light up the Williamsburg Community Christmas Tree!

Yorktown’s Lighted Boat Parade

After you’ve chased down light shows on every corner of land to make this Christmas merry and bright, check out what surprises are waiting for you in the water!
