Second Sundays Art & Music Festival

When: Now through December from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Cost: Free

Mark your calendars for May 13—the “Second Sundays” Art & Music Festival! Grab friends and family and stroll the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, where local musicians will serenade you as you glimpse the amazing works of regional artists and authors. There will also be exciting activities to keep kids entertained—face painting and craft project booths!

Yorktown Market Days

When: Every Saturday

Cost: Free

Yorktown Market Days at Riverwalk Landing was voted the best farmers market in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and it’s easy to see why! It boasts spectacular river views; seasonal produce, including fresh seafood, meats, breads ands honey; live music; food trucks; vendors and artists; cooking demonstrations; and great conversation with local farmers, fishermen and food entrepreneurs. Each market even has a special theme—for example, the one coming up on April 21 will be French-themed! What a great way to spend a Saturday!

The Williamsburg Taste Festival

When: April 19-22

Movies Under the Stars

When: April 27, May 25, August 31, September 28 @ 8:30 p.m.

Cost: Free

There is something nostalgic about watching a movie under the stars—like the old days when drive-ins were abundant! Luckily, you don’t have to search for one with Chickahominy Riverfront Park’s monthly movie night! Bring your comfiest lawn chairs and blankets and your favorite snacks for a free showing of Despicable Me (PG) with your kiddos!

With these four great ways to spring into warm-weather fun, you’ll be busy all month long! Before you know it, King’s Creek Plantation will be getting ready to host you for the summer!
