We hope you’re having a spectacular summer so far! As the season zooms by, we want to make sure that you’re getting first pick of the most quintessential summer activities available in the Historic Triangle.
Here’s what’s going on this weekend—enjoy!
Busch Gardens Summer Nights, through August 12
Busch Gardens is a must-see family destination during the summer. If you haven’t been this year, here’s a quick taste of what you’re missing when the sun goes down at the world’s most beautiful theme park: fireworks every weekend, dance parties in France with pyrotechnics and laser light shows, a lighted dance experience in Ireland performed by a dance troupe that appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” not to mention all the standard fun stuff, like the thrill of riding lightning-fast rollercoasters at night!
Summer Breeze Concert Series “Unleashed,” Wednesdays through September 19
This is a super fun summer event, and this year it’s the biggest yet! Every Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., park yourself on the lawn of the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Art Museum in Colonial Williamsburg. Let each week’s exciting new concert be the soundtrack to your summer!
Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Thursdays through August 2
For a refreshing change of scene, head to Yorktown’s Riverwalk Landing on Thursdays for a free concert by the river! Music includes beachy faves, plus Motown, disco, funk and more! This is truly a gem of an event (just check out that incredible sun setting over all the happy people)! For maximum enjoyment, be sure to bring: lawn chairs, comfy shoes for dancing, your kids and your appetites! That’s right—grab a delicious dinner from Carrot Tree Kitchens, like gourmet hot dogs, pulled pork BBQ, signature deserts and refreshments.
King’s Creek Plantation looks forward to spending the rest of the summer with you and your family!
