We talk a lot here at King’s Creek Plantation about time spent with family, and for good reason! There’s nothing like creating memories with the people who are closest to you. But sometimes, the people who are closest to you are your friends!
This post is dedicated to all the guys out there who deserve some bro time, because after all, the bedrock of any good friendship is hangin’ out, doin’ stuff.

Through June 14
10 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
Can we all agree that there is nothing more primal or dude-like than ax throwing? Head over to Colonial Williamsburg to try a form of hands-on, 18th-century fun at the Ax Range. You and your pals will learn all about the history of ax throwing during the Revolutionary War, the uses of belt axes. After a briefing on safety and proper technique, take a swing at it yourself. Just make sure you bring close-toed shoes.
(*To be enjoyed separately from all drinking events!)
Nothing’s better than a clear day on the golf course with a group of your pals. King’s Creek Plantation sits at the boarder of golf heaven, so all you have to do is show up with your golf bag and a couple of buddies to enjoy the area’s finest courses. Check out Kiskiack Golf Club, Colonial Heritage Golf Club and Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.
We may be obsessed with the local dining culture, but that’s just because it’s so good! Williamsburg has choices for every budget and preference, but we especially recommend grabbing a legendary sandwich at the Cheese Shop in Merchants Square (choose whatever, you can’t go wrong—but try the salami and cheese on French bread!) and a hearty breakfast at family-owned-and-operated hot spot, Shorty’s Diner.
If you haven’t had bonding time with your buddies in a while, now’s a great time to make it happen! Enjoy!
