Finally! A sign of spring!

March is almost here, and that means warm weather will soon bring renewed activity and excitement to Williamsburg, Virginia!

If you’re planning a fabulous family vacation to the Historic Triangle, here’s the Creek’s guide to all things spring. (Note: Some of these events repeat daily or weekly, but others are only here for a day or two, so make sure you put the ones you like in your calendar!)

Cabin Fever Series Concert

What: An intimate concert with some of the area’s top musicians! From jazz and indie rock to traditional Irish music, these weekly concerts promise the perfect start to your weekend. Complimentary coffee and refreshments are provided!

Where: Yorktown Freight Shed

When: Every Thursday through March 7, 7 – 8:30 pm

American Adventure Maze Challenge

What: An immersive, educational role-play adventure that asks you to conquer one great challenge: Survive the year as one of the original Jamestown colonists.

Where: Virginia Living Museum

When: Repeats daily through April 21

Friendly Hours

What: An inclusive time where guests with mobility, cognitive or physical challenges can experience the Museum in a less crowded environment with reduced sound and lighting.

Where: Mariners’ Museum and Park

When: March 10, 9 – 11 am

Seizing the Moment: The Evolution in Action Photography

What: A maritime exhibit featuring never-before-seen images showing the evolution of marine photography from a documentary approach to an artist’s perspective.

Where: Mariners’ Museum and Park

When: Repeats daily, 9 am – 5 pm

Williamsburg Farmers Market

What: A producer-only market for fresh produce, fish, artisan cheeses, meats, pasta, cut flowers, and handmade soaps. Enjoy live music, chef demonstrations and exhibits along with local shops and restaurants.

When: Every Saturday, 8 am – 12 pm

Artifact Adventures at Historic Jamestown

What: An exploration of the first permanent colony of the new world. Meet colonists and real archaeologists, participate in hands-on activities, and put together the pieces that tell the story of the first successful English settlement in North America.

Where: Jamestown Rediscovery artifact museum

When: March 2 & 16, 10 am – 4 pm

Dino on the Loose: Dinosaur Discovery Trail

What: A permanent outdoor exhibit featuring 16 one-third to full-size dinosaur replicas from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, plus a Paleo camp, dig pits, touchable photo opportunities, fossil stations, and more.
