This season, we want to help you live life to the FALLest. There are so many things we love about the autumn season—crisp temperatures, colorful foliage, flavors of delicious foods, and weekends jam-packed with activities for friends and families to enjoy! With all of these lovable qualities, it can be tricky to know where to start. Here’s our handy checklist for a perfect fall.
1) Leaf-Peepin’
First thing’s first. It wouldn’t be fall without foliage. To get into the spirit and kickstart this checklist, dedicate a morning walk or a full day adventure to the Greater Williamsburg area (we promise, it’ll be unbe-leaf-able).
Here’s our short list of the best places for leaf-peepin’:
Crim Dell Bridge on the campus of William & Mary
Carriage Ride through Colonial Williamsburg
2) Apple Picking
There’s nothing quite like taking a bite out of a tangy apple on an autumn day. But it’s even more exciting when you’re able to hand-pick the BEST ones at an apple orchard. Venture to Williamsburg’s Bush Neck Farm for an amazing day of picking apples, blueberries and peaches!
What makes this activity such a wonderful fall pastime? Perhaps it’s the chance to be outside immersed in nature, or maybe it’s the opportunity to connect with a friend or family member and do something fun. Whatever reason speaks to you, we guarantee this activity is just what you need to love this fall to the very core!
3) Sweets & Treats
Pumpkin spice, hazelnut, cranberry, maple… and so many more flavors come to mind when we think of fall! Treat yourself and savor all of the best baked goods and seasonal sweets that will warm your heart and delight your senses.

4) Farmers Market
The Williamsburg Farmers Market at Merchant Square is the perfect fall destination for fun music, fresh produce, and to connect with members of the community. Every Saturday from 8AM to 12PM through December, join our local vendors, volunteers and friends of the market here in Williamsburg.
Our current seasonal produce includes apples, chestnuts, winter squashes, okra, mushrooms, peppers, beets, onions, eggplants, summer squash, radishes, arugula, salad greens, cabbage and so much more. You can also find breads, pies, pickles, meats, and honey, among many other mouthwatering bites!
5) Roast S’mores
As the temperature continues to drop, it’s the perfect time to cozy up next to a fire. Between the crackling sounds, the smell of wood smoke and the warm sensation that reminds us of a comforting hug, sitting by a bonfire or fire pit may be just what you need to relax and unwind this fall.
Sitting fireside is a wonderful chance to unplug from your busy schedule and spend face-to-face time connecting with others. Plus, you can enjoy this simple pleasure right here at King’s Creek! On Friday evenings, we’ll be hosting S’more Socials at our clubhouse pool deck. Come for peace and relaxation, and stay to share the experience with other kindred spirits this fall!
