If there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that Williamsburg is the perfect Autumn destination. There’s no shortage of Fall activities when you venture to Historic Triangle, in fact, the hardest part is trying to pack in all of what you’d like to see in just a few short days. That’s why we’ve created a handy Williamsburg Scavenger’s Hunt to help guide your mission and have some fun viewing some of our must-see stops. Explore everything from the modern attractions to traveling back in time with these bucket list items.

Talk with a Tradesperson in Colonial Williamsburg.

Visit the brickyard, the carpenters, the weavers and so much more when you travel back in time to Colonial Williamsburg. Here their stories and discover how craftspeople used tools and techniques to make every day things function.

Bear Witness to the Governor’s Palace. 

Visit the first Royal Governor estate, at Colonial Williamsburg, and see what high society looked like back in the day.

Stop for Coffee at William & Mary. 

The Daily Grind is a student-run coffee shop and is considered a William & Mary staple. Grab a coffee, smoothie and/or a sandy to fuel the rest of your adventure. 

Stroll Through Campus to Find Lake Matoaka.

This area of campus may be hidden from view but it should not be missed.Take a walk through W&M’s forest trails and find the area surrounding the lake is an important part of student life for many students.

Say hello to Susan Constant, Godspeed & Discovery.

Along the shores of the James River at Jamestown Settlement, visitors can see re-creations of the three ships that brought America’s first permanent English colonists to Virginia in 1607.

Find the most Unique Antique.

For more than 20 years, the Williamsburg Antique Mall has been a beloved part of this city. Travel in yet another portal to the past, you never know what you may find!

Take a Segway Tour.

Time is of the essence, so skip the walk for this part of your tour. Explore Yorktown by Segway with the Patriot Tours, covering the Waterfront and Historic Main Street.

Go Nuts. 

Stop by Whitley’s Peanut Factory to take in, yet another, local gem. They make a wide variety of nuts, with some familiar favorites as well as excitingly unexpected flavors. 

Take a Ghost Tour.

Learn about ghost stories that have been collected through research, eyewitness haunting interviews, and a ghost story book connected to factual and historical events. It’s scary fun.

Have an Unforgettable Busch Gardens Adventure.

With seasonal events and attractions, award winning shows and incredible coasters, a trip to Busch Gardens is guaranteed to be filled with thrills.

Stay with King’s Creek.
