From December 23-31, the Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown will be celebrating the season with festivities featuring period musical entertainment, a holiday film and a fascinating comparison between 17th-and 18th-century English Christmas customs and how early colonists may have observed the season. There’s no other hands-on learning opportunity like this!

Come to the Virginia Living Museum’s planetarium theater to watch favorite songs like “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and other timeless holiday hits reimagined to the dazzling flickers and pulses of laser lights!

 

Star of Wonder: Mystery of the Christmas Star

If lasers light shows aren’t your thing, you can still experience the Virginia Living Museum’s state-of-the-art planetarium. “Star of Wonder” is an incredible film exploration of the journey of the Magi, with archaeological clues that can help us to understand the mysterious appearance of the Star of Bethlehem.
