Eggs, Eggs, and More Eggs! Easter Activities for Young Children 

The Historic Triangle is warming up for an amazing Easter! If you have little ones and want to make this Easter extra special, read on to find Easter activities for children! The only struggle will be which of these amazing events to RSVP to!

What: Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt
When: Saturday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
Where: 3800 Treyburn Dr, Williamsburg, VA
Who: For children walking through age 8

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt that features a magic show, petting zoo, face painting, prizes, Easter crafts and, of course, an egg hunt! This community event is free and open to the public. Registration is limited to 100 children. Contact (757) 220-1839 to register. You might want to scurry—it usually fills quickly! 


What: Chippokes Annual Easter Egg Hunt
When: Saturday, April 8 from 2-4 p.m.
Where: Jones-Stewart Mansion parking lot, 695 Chippokes Park Rd. Surry, VA
Who: Children 10 and under

The Friends of Chippokes Annual Easter Egg Hunt is an exciting tradition that invites children to hunt for over 1,000 eggs! The eggs are hidden in two sections—one for younger children and one for older. Participants must bring their own baskets. Enjoy light refreshments and themed activities for the whole family. What: Annual Easter Egg Scramble
When: Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m.
Where: New Quarter Park, York County 1000 Lakeshead Drive
Who: Kids of all ages

The Easter Bunny is coming to New Quarter Park for a special egg hunt! Check-in for this York County Easter event will start at 9:30 a.m., and egg hunts will begin promptly at 10 am. Children will hike designated sections of park trails to hunt and collect eggs. After the egg hunt, come meet the Easter Bunny and take pictures! There will also be  fun crafts, games, a petting zoo, and  other children’s activities. Space is limited, so register your child as soon as possible! 


What: Easter Egg Decorating
When: Saturday, April 1 between 1 and 4 p.m.
Where: Williamsburg Regional Library at the Stryker Center, 412 N. Boundary Street
Who: Kids of all ages

Do you like to decorate eggs, but hate the preparation and mess? Drop in at the Stryker Center on Saturday, April 1 any time from 1-4 p.m. to color your eggs! Children of all ages are invited to paint, dye and decorate. Everything is provided—you supply the creativity! 


What: Walsingham Academy Easter Egg Hunt
When: Sunday, April 2 between 1 and 2 p.m.
Where: Williamsburg Regional Library at the Stryker Center, 412 N. Boundary Street
Who: Children 7 and under

Hop on over to Walsingham Academy for a fun, free public Easter egg hunt event. The Walsingham Academy green will be sectioned off into four age groups, and one lucky winner in each age group will find a golden egg to turn in for a prize! Bring a friend and make some new ones! Participants must come prepared with their own baskets. Register here
